The Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission on Wednesday rezoned about 18 acres of undeveloped land just east of Grace Church, clearing a hurdle for the development of an apartment complex.
TMAPC approved the rezoning from agriculture to residential multifamily at the request of developer Case & Associates Properties, which has proposed building a 340-unit apartment village called the Cottages at Grace Meadows at the site, 9610 S. Garnett Road.
The development would feature open green spaces, garage parking for certain dwelling units and apartments that average between $900 and $1,400 a month. The project also would connect to a nearby regional trail system via a concrete pedestrian and bike path.
